The following videos illustrate the main processes of the destruction
of binary stars
in dense star clusters like the Globular star cluster M80 in the Milky Way (left).
The videos are representing the paths of the
stars around each other obtained
by full integration of the Newtonian equations of motion with the
CATENA
computer program.
