We are currently planning to offer a couple of fun yet scientific projects for people interested in using the telescope. The idea is to mesh observations with a fun, social evening. In particular, we have two projects under feasibility study:

  1. Observing the Jovian/Saturnian moons and making a time-lapse movie.
  2. Observing satellites in the geostationary orbit.

These projects would involve a maximum of 2 nights of observation, followed by a few hours of data reduction using the computer facilities in AIfA.

If you are interested in being a part of these 'funtific' events, please get in touch with us. In case you'd like to participate, but simply don't have the time during the semester, it is of course possible to shift the project to the semester break (vorlesungsfreie Zeit)!
