About Me

I am a computer scientist and currently I am working on my PH.D. thesis. My interest in instrumentation and automation brought me to radio astronomy. I finished my diploma thesis at the Argelander institute for Astronomy entitled "Implementation and Improvement of Controlling Software to Operate a Twin Radio Interferometer" in 2010 and ever since I stayed in the field. The focus of my research is on developing a systematical method to combine the data from single dish and interferometric data (array of single telescopes) in order to merge the best of the both worlds.
