Master theses

Galaxy clusters are the largest clearly defined objects in the Universe. They form unique astrophysical laboratories and can be used as precision cosmological probes, e.g., to study the nature of dark energy. The Master thesis would focus on observational studies of the X-ray or radio emission of clusters, or their gravitational lensing features. The research group is also involved in the eROSITA satellite mission, to be launched around 2013. eROSITA will lead X-ray cluster survey science world-wide for many years to come.
