The Hoher List Control System (HOLICS) is a C++ software package which currently controls the 1m Cassagrain Telescope at Hoher List, and was originally developed by Pascal Hirsch and later by Manuel Metz. I took over this project in April 2009 and did further developments and improved basic features. I implemented a server interface and developed a client program, containing a graphical user interface based on Qt4. The new client brings network (i.e. internet) compatiblity and allows Holigrail students to perform observations from home.

In addition, it features a fully functional automation system, including the complete functionality of HOLICS and of the camera/instrumentation software.
