My PhD-project and other projects

Phd-thesis

My PhD-thesis concerns the evolution of globular clusters originating from nucleated dwarf galaxies.

Using 'superbox' an NBDOY-code, I am investigating how clusters enclosed into an elliptical galaxy (here I am using several potentials, like NFW and/or Sersic), evolve after removing the stellar outer envelope.

First results show, as expected an increase of the half mass radius.

The goal of this project is to understand the origin and further evolution of globular clusters like Omega-Cen.

Alternative ideas for cosmology (binding energy, mass-creation etc.)

In cooperation with Prof. Dr. Hans-Joerg Fahr I am also working on alternative ideas to cosmology.

As the standard cosmological model or Lambda-CDM-cosmology contains problems in explaining several observed phenomena (on of the most important ones: the disc-of-satellites) and shows a leak on plausible basic assumptions, we are investigating question like

  • How does the cosmic binding-energy contribute to cosmic expansion dynamics?
  • Is there are possibility to describe structure-formation in a mass-creating universe
  • Where do fundamental problems in Lambda-CDM exist and how could we solve them?
