Currently I hold a post-doctoral position at the Argelander Institute for Astronomy, working with Cristiano Porciani in the very confortable atmosphere of the Cosmology group. During my Ph.D I was supervised by Hans Boehringer and Ariel Sánchez, working on the spatial distribution of galaxy clusters characterized by the measurements of the power spectrum and correlation function. I've been lucky to be a the right time to witness the rise of a new version of the ROSAT-ESO flux limited X-ray galaxy cluster sample (REFLEX II). From observational perspectives, the information that can be extracted from these statistical analysis can in turn be used to model and/or constrain relevant aspects of gravitational clustering that play a key role in the distribution of galaxies and galaxy clusters, such like galaxy cluster scaling-relations, dark matter halo abundances, galaxy-halo occupation distributions (HOD), galaxy bias and non-linear clustering.
