I am currently working as a PhD student (July 2012-) in the Stellar Phyics group at the Argelander Institut für Astronomie, University of Bonn, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Norbert Langer. My research interests lie in stellar evolution with an emphasis on massive binary systems. I have also worked a bit on progenitor evolution of binary millisecond pulsars via the Accretion Induced Collapse (AIC) channel.
Prior coming to Germany, I completed my Integrated BS-MS from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata graduating with a major in Physics. During my master studies, I worked in polymer quantization of Maxwell field under the supervision of Dr. Golam Mortuza Hossain. You can find my masters thesis here
