Important note on CALDB versions (mainly relevant for Suzaku and ROSAT):
The CALDB is set up by default to use the newest calibration files. Should you wish to use an older version for a specific mission or instrument, you need to create a personal copy of the CALDB configuration file ($CALDB/software/tools/caldb.config) and edit it accordingly.
This file contains information to which index file the scripts will point for each instrument and mission. The syntax is as follows:
MISSION INSTRUMENT CALDB data/mission/instrument  caldb.indx  CALDB  data/mission/instrument
For instance, the line for Suzaku HXD is:
SUZAKU HXD CALDB data/suzaku/hxd caldb.indx CALDB data/suzaku/hxd

Index files pointing to older calibration files are stored in the index/ directory for each instrument. To point to a different index file, you have to edit the corresponding line(s) in your own caldb.config file, for instance if you want to use the calibration from October 2007:
SUZAKU HXD CALDB data/suzaku/hxd index/caldb.indx20071016 CALDB data/suzaku/hxd

To finally apply the changes, redefine the $CALDBCONFIG variable to point to your new config file, e.g.:
setenv CALDBCONFIG ~/caldb.config
Note that this variable is also defined by executing the caldbinit.unix file, so be sure to reset the variable after initializing the CALDB.
