I am a PhD student in the
Stellar Physics Group at the
Argelander Institute for
Astronomy . I work under supervision of Prof.
Norbert Langer and Dr.
Sung-Chul Yoon
The topic of my research is the later stage evolution of massive stars
which explode as Supernovae. I am working on the stellar evolution
code BEC and in particular on the Nuclear Network Subroutines.
The main scientific topic of my PhD thesis is Pair-instability supernovae at
finite metallicity (Z=0.001). In particular, I ran 150 and 250 solar mass
evolutionary models and simulated light curves for these explosions.
