showing quite peculiar behavior when searching for words like
cheeeeeeeese or fiiiiiiiiish with varying numbers of vowels. It's not just that google asks you things like "did you mean cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeese" -- which might seem like a stupid question though it is actually quite relevant -- when you search for this kind of word where repetitive spelling of vowels is common, there are absorption features in the spectra which are quite difficult to explain. For your convenience, we searched the entire english dictionary to find out why. You will find some of our results here, although there are as of yet no clear explanations.
