Erik Høg, Claus Fabricius, Jens Knude, Valeri V. Makarov, Copenhagen

Abstract

The GAIA satellite is being studied as candidate for an ESA cornerstone mission to be launched about 2009. The overall design and the scientific goals of the mission are presented in this volume by Lindegren. The present paper focuses on the design and performance with respect to multi-colour photometry.
