The following bibliographies, compiled by Ruth Freitag of the Library of Congress in Washington, D. C., were first distributed as attachments to the Newsletter of the Historical Astronomy Division (HAD) of the American Astronomical Society (HAD News). For easy use they were converted to HTML, and some minor corrections were made. The original files in WordPerfect 5.1 format are also available for downloading.
Some problems arose with converting special characters from the WordPerfect format to HTML. Since the number of special characters in HTML is very limited, the missing characters were converted into plain ASCII characters, and the whole word was repeated in curly brackets {} in LaTeX notation.
