I am a PhD student in the stellar-populations and dynamics research group working on computational stellar dynamics. I investigate the evolution of star cluster complexes in various tidal fields in order to explain the origin of different classes of objects: faint fuzzies, extended globular clusters and ultra compact dwarf galaxies.

Tutorials I've written several computer tutorials for greenhorns. It was ment to give them a brief introduction to several computer programs they might encounter in their further studies. My tutorials include: UNIX, C++, Java, Maple, and HTML. The tutorials are only available in German!
Simulations I've performed n-body simulations of the Large Magellanic Cloud in my diploma thesis. On this page you will find a brief summary of my work and a thesis essay on the Ising Model and the method of Finite Size Scaling.
