eROSITA is a new X-ray mission, currently expected to be launched in 2011 on the Russian Spektr-R-Gamma satellite.

The primary scientific goal is to study the nature of dark energy using up to 100,000 X-ray galaxy clusters; i.e., a significant fraction of all massive galaxy clusters in the observable universe.
