THELI GUI
The THELI GUI a is very powerful package for the science-grade reduction of
astronomical imaging data under Linux. Using various Astromatic tools together with a large number of sophisticated
pre-processing techniques, you have access to
- Fully automated reduction of optical, near- and mid-infrared data
- 60 pre-configured instruments at observatories world-wide
- Add your own instrument
- Parallelised reduction of multi-chip camera data
- Various sky background correction techniques
- Superflatting and defringing
- Automatic distortion correction and creation of arbitrarily large mosaics
- Highly flexible coaddition including e.g. resampling to different pixel
scales, locking onto proper motion targets, blending of mosaic overlap
regions or various projection and celestial types
- Optimised S/N through sophisticated weighting schemes
- Advanced chip defect detection algorithms
- Crosstalk and non-linearity correction
- Atmospheric transparency correction
- Flux calibration using standard stars or field sources
- Precise and accurate astrometry
- Image statistics and PSF analysis
- Efficient reduction of multi-colour data sets
- Preparation of composite colour pictures
- Extensive documentation and online help
All this is bundled in a sleek and easy-to-use user interface and
will provide you with highly optimised results. If you are fed up
struggling with clunky and intransparent reduction tools, then
THELI GUI is what you are looking for.
Documentation
These pages refer to the THELI GUI simply as THELI.
If the underlying THELI pipeline core is meant, then this
is stated explicitly. These webpages are also
available in pdf format, but some
of the figures are missing due to the automatic conversion.
