Abstract
After a brief introduction on gravitational lenses in general I argue why we can and will use LOFAR surveys as a phantastic tool for future gravitational lens searches. Different strategies to find 1000-2000 new radio lenses are discussed. The impact of the LOFAR rescope is not entirely clear yet. A higher number of international stations can compensate for the reduction of Dutch LOFAR, and modifications in the survey strategies can increase the efficiency considerably.
