Abstract
I discuss some aspects of my long-baseline activities that are relevant for the study of transients. This includes gravitational lenses (showing the first LOFAR image of a lens!), observations of the Crab nebula and pulsar and different types of RFI (airplanes and lightning). Finally I present a new idea to study pulsar scattering in 3d.
