Abstract

I show my biased view of some aspects of reference frames in VLBI and pulsar timing. Main conclusion is that there are good reasons to combine the methods to (eventually) measure motions in the Solar System relative to the framework of distant quasars that may (or may not) define a large-scale inertial frame.
