Abstract

I present some preliminary results of a LOFAR long-baseline observation of the crab nebula. The long baselines are used to calibrate all the stations, and this calibration is also used to image the short baselines. This process works very well, and a first image produced in this way is presented. It has been shown earlier, that the pulsar is (at least often) strongly linearly polarised, which means it is a perfect calibrator source also for polarisation. In the current data I do not find any evidence for polarisation yet, but this is not the final word.
