Gravitational Lensing

Lecture course Gravitational Lensing held at the AIfA, University of Bonn, summer semester 2009.

Abstract

This is the main lecture on gravitational lensing that covers general theory, strong lensing, microlensing and weak lensing. Both theory and observational aspects are discusses.

The lecture is given by
Peter Schneider and me. Lecture notes (mostly Schneider, some additions from me) are available on request.

Most of the lecture consists of blackboard calculations. Below you find a supplementary presentation for one of the chapters.

This presentation is only a supplement for the chapter Strong lensing by galaxies. It does not include the (more important!) blackboard calculations. 38 pages, suitable for presentation with acroread. Include hyperlinks for references and quick navigation.
