Abstract
This lecture gives an overview of the fundamentals and practical aspects
of long-baseline LOFAR observation, in addition to a short, more general introduction to Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI).
Some ong-baseline LOFAR results are presented towards the end.
A similar presentation with more material on general VLBI was given in Hamburg and Bonn.
