Boa Quick User Guide

This page is dedicated to describe a small set of BoA command needed when starting BoA for the first time.

Getting Help

At any time, you can get help on one Boa command() by typing at the prompt print command.__doc__

Setting Directories

• indir() change the input directory

• proj() to define the APEX project ID and simplify the I/O

• ils() list the content of the input directory

• find() reset the above input directory list

• select() select scans depending of the given criteria

Display

• open() will open a device

• close() will close the current device

• device() will select a particular device

Read & Basic Plots

• read() will load a given fits file to BoA

• signal() will plot the signal against time

• azeloff() will plot the telescope pattern on the sky in azimuth/elevation offsets coordinates

• chan() select a subset of channel

Flagging Data

• flagLST() will flag data against time

• flagCh() will flag a given channel

Basic Data Analysis

• base() remove a baseline

• stat() compute basic statistic on the data

• plotcor() correlation plot

Mapping

• chanMap() will produce a channel map

• fastMap() will project the data in the sky plane
