Astronomical data reduction with THELI

THELI is a publicly available package for the automated reduction of astronomical imaging data.
It comes in two flavours which are based on the same tools, but maintained independently:

  • A set of command-line based scripts suitable for the efficient reduction of many hundred different pointings. This version can also run on a distributed cluster system. If you have a large number of observations taken with the same instrument, then this is your choice. The scripts need to be configured manually to suit your data. If this is what you want, then please continue here.

  • A graphical user interface (GUI) for convenient data processing. This is intended for users who are concerned with everything else but survey reduction. THELI GUI is very flexible, offers many additional reduction features and also works excellent with near- and mid-infrared images. Currently, about 60 different instruments from observatories world-wide are pre-configured. This version can also be used to reduce large data sets, but due to its interactive character it cannot be run in batch mode. If this what you want, then please continue here.
