Radio astronomy for schools
How can astronomers create images from radio telescope data?
This question is the focus of a new workshop developed by researchers at the Argelander Institute for Astronomy. In this approximately 2-hour interactive workshop, pupils are introduced to the fundamentals of radio astronomy and its imaging techniques through a mix of quizzes, games, short presentations and hands-on exercises. The workshop is suitable for students from year 9/10 and is partially held in English.
Students from TalentKollegRuhr are taking part in our workshop as part of their astronomy holiday camp.
